I'll be brief - it's a grown up world and a grown up thread

A New Year, a new week and a chance to sort your crap out, and start afresh.

I don't believe in Resolutions (below 1680x1050) but none the less, humans need barriers, lines drawn in sand etc.
Jan 2nd suits that well, cos Jan 1st often hurts too much to even talk or walk.

• Whatever you think you should have done positively, last year, needs doing this year.
• Whatever you did negatively last year, needs mending, fast, so stop faffing about and mend it.
• Don't spend as much on junk & tat, and save for better quality items later in the year.
• Eat a bit more fruit and veg please. All of you, and no bloody exuses about not liking cabbage- find veg you like and eat it.
• If you need too, chuck out/flog the junk in you garage/loft/shed/cupboard. Give to charity shops where viable.
• Listen to some good music this year please, and eat some quality food somewhere.
• Be nice online, and come here often please. Share the good, the ugly, and the inbetween. Facebook and Twitter aint everything. HEXUS Forums possibly are......

And lastly, polish you shoes, wear a belt so your trousers arent' hanging down quite so low, call people and don't message, and go see them instead of calling.

cherry coke - drunk 4litres over Christmas, cadburys dairy milk medley - that had raspberries in it.
dad pinched all the Christmas leftovers and made stew out of it, then ate it all himself.

good - Set up the Audyssey properly on my Denon amp.
ugly - look on my mums face after I tested the amp at higher than usual volumes.
inbetween - need to eat that 40 pack or clementines we got cheap, they've just started going off. theres 15 left. and ive already eaten 20 of em, no one else is eating them. so looks like its oranges for tea.. again..

Just to add to Zak's post, my key life skill is trying to be DIPLOMATIC & CHARMING in everything i do. Smile, be friendly, be light hearted, be optimistic, be polite, ask questions & listen to their answers and be modest in your responses.

Practise and pretend, it will eventually come naturally. As with everything in life, you need to practise it to learn it. Start small & work up...just smile, say hello, ask how their day is going! Small steps, take them often.

It has changed my life actively working to nail those skills down.
