    Stag do help! Europe

I hate having to do this, but I need to try and organise a stag do in June, for somewhere round Europe. Price of around £250-300 per person, ideally early flights friday, any flight sunday to come home.

Less ''piss up & debauchery" more Good fun with good mates, activities, few drinks, exploring etc etc

Really struggling to find the combination of flights, price, activities, with reasonable beer/food prices. Probably around a dozen of us likely to go!

We have done Riga, Bucharest, Madrid, Bulgaria over the last few years, off to Tennerife in the Spring.

I have looked at Copenhagen & Geneva (price of food & beer too much), looked at Verona.

Anyone have any experience visiting any of the mountainous areas? Go for the scenery, hiring a bike, etc etc

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

edit: Considering flying into Geneva, hire two cars to somewhere like Chamonix ?

Thought about italy? Lots of beautiful walking and hiking and food and beer and culture and history at a reasonable price. Consider cinque terre - five seaside villages on a long hike. https://www.lonelyplanet.com/italy/l...2-1479d276d61e

Just a thought, if the Stag is into racing or cars, the 24 hours of Le Mans is the 16 and 17th of June but yund need to do Friday to Monday, you can drive it or the EuroStar to Paris and then TGV to Le Mans (last time I looked it was 88 euros return (St Pancras to Le Mans)

How much are flights to Malaysia?

I'd probably go for Spain - not the islands, but somewhere like Madrid or Valencia, or even somewhere pretty unknown - each time I go to Spain I'm amazed how good the food is.

    Re: Stag do help! Europe

I can't speak to prices as I'm out of touch, but if history, exploring, etc is important, I'd suggest Italy maybe Bologna or better yet, Florence. Fabulous history, and the food .... I'm salivating just typing this.

    Aternatively, Prague?

    Or maybe St. Petersburg?

Or an off-the-wall idea .... UK. We tend to ignore the huge historic value to be had right here. I know it's not as 'sexy' as flying off, but you avoid airport hassles, shoukd get good rates from a B&B block booking, have less travel hassle, no flight costs, etc. Just a thought???

    Re: Stag do help! Europe

If you want a real mix of history, food and beer as well as some exploring to do why not Bruges? Prices are reasonable and you could ferry/euro star rather than fly which may be quicker and cheaper.

    Re: Stag do help! Europe

I did this in Brussels and it was excellent. Plenty of drinking options, without the need to get hammered - i.e. table service in a pub with hundreds of options.

Saracen's suggestion of Prague a good one too.

I'd recommend trying some other parts of Czechia to Prague - nice though it is, it's gone a bit downhill in the 8 odd years I've been going there for work. Prices in Prague are double that of any other city and there's a strong organised crime element looking to make money off tourists and stag parties in particular.

You could also try Bonnie Scotland. Whiskey tours, hill walking, lots of historic sites to see, Edinburgh Nightlife. You could also do a bit of Haggis hunting around the hills
