Would like that Bosch but finding it hard to justify that expense even though I do use a heat more that 5 times a year. Still quality tools are worth investment.

Ersonally I use a small gas heat gun (part of a gas powered soldering kit) it’s a small but very direct jet, ideal for heat shrink and the like, vary the temperature by moving it closer or nearer to the work piece!

I went for the expensive Bosch Professional one in the end. Will be re-doing my watercooled rig in hard tube soon so want one with precise temp control and just liked the Bosch one as it comes with all the bits and a case. Also very impressed with other Bosch Pro tools I have.

I think in the last 10 years or so I only met one person in RL who CBA with using custom water cooling loops with their systems.

I'd guess:
RL = real life
CBA = could be a**ed (bothered)
Which shows once again that enthusiast forums do not reflect real life, I guess.

Also,having a mini-ITX rig would probably mean custom water cooling would be an excercise in annoyance although it might actually be useful!!

But custom watercooled mini-itx rig's when done properly, work well and look so cool! I'm planning on doing one at some point for my Hackintosh box which is built into an Antec ISK600 box.

But whether it would be easy to do in one of the smaller cases is another question,and it would be a pain when cleaning out the fans,etc!!

Also,I CBA overclocking that much nowadays too,especially after Intel started making overclocking a paid for feature!

Oh there's no doubt about it, it ain't easy doing a custom itx loop. Dont overclock much myself either nowadays, mainly do it for the cooling & noise benefits and what else am I going to do with all this custom kit.
