Amazon US opts for "Free Delivery, no minimum spend" for Christmas

The U.S.-only promotion, effective from Nov. 5, waives the $25 (19.25 pounds) minimum that customers outside Amazon’s loyalty club Prime must hit for free shipping. The deal lasts until Amazon can no longer promise items in time for Christmas with free delivery, which typically takes five to eight business days.

wow.. that's gonna be a lot of delivery drivers delivering a lot of small things a lot of the time....!

Yeah same here. I haven't bought anything I need urgently from Amazon for ages. I pay for prime just for the movies tbh - 3.99 a month for UHD :-)

I find it to be the exact opposite. I can get same day delivery more often than not, and it's never once been late.
This is based on 49 sales in the last 12 months.
I live just outside of Glasgow, not far from one of their main depots, however.

Prime was terrible at one point a few years ago where I used to live,so much so I stopped using it. Its improved much more in recent years.

I actually canceled my Prime.. I only ever used it for shipping, and pretty much everything I bought was cheaper elsewhere, even when paying for shipping. Not worth the $150/year fee.
