The Worst Tesco in the UK?

I am reliable informed by a good fellow who works for another Hardware Publication that, without any doubt....

Tesco Express in Haggerston is the worst tesco is the universe.

What is amazing is that it shows on every google search I do.

It had it's own Tumblr page for the rankness of it.. and Google Reviews seems to utterly agree

    Any offers for worse?

Re: The Worst Tesco in the UK?

Tesco Metro on Cowley Road in Oxford would give it a run for its money. I've seen out of date produce on the shelves, loose fruit and veg well past its best and the chilling/freezing cabinets seem to break down on a fairly regular basis. They only open staffed tills grudgingly or during peak hours and their bright yellow 'reduced to clear' stickers often seem to be such miserly (10% or smaller) reductions that it looks like they're just trying to exploit the innumerate. Having said that, google reviews are 'mixed' rather than terrible so it may not be quite as bad as Haggerston!

I think the main reason is they have a captive market. Any spare land in Oxford is generally flood plain or owned by a rich college so supermarkets can't just build anywhere. There are no comparable size stores for quite a distance and the location they serve is towards the lower end of the Oxford food chain so there probably aren't quite so many demands for improvement.

Speak to the manager or contact tescos centrally, watch them rain hellfire down on the store.

They are in such an intense market these days...
