Some pics from my wedding- taken with my canon eos 300d

I got married (part 2) in calcutta in january and to kill 2 birds with one stone, ie showing off my camera and showing my wedding, here are 2 photos.

This is my wife and I after the ceremony, which was quite long, sitting on our lovely thrones. Don't ask me who the strange man is as there were 500 people at the wedding and I had a fever of 40 celcius at this point. I had entrusted my younger brother with the camera for the wedding.

This one is my lovely wife at the mehndi ceremony a 2 days before the wedding. She had the henna applied and its just drying. Its not a strictly bengali thing, but it was great fun all the same. I got to use my camera at this point.

    I may post more later!

He looks like a brutal alien King, sitting in judgment of some small, defenseless Ewok type creatures, and is about to sentance them to have their little feet burnt, for stealing berries to feed their starving Ewok type creature children.

    Congrats!

Congrats man, my brother went through the same thing 2 years ago, excuse my cultural ingnorance, can't remember the name of the ceremony properly, begins with a D though, it think. Although he didnt go all the way to Calcutta for it, he just chose to have it on one of the hottest days ever recorded in UK history i think.

I do have 1 question though, Do you have to keep denying offers of food too?

No, they feed you up until you are ready to pop, and then on the actual wedding day I had to fast until after the ceremony. However my sister in law did steal my shoes and we had to pay to get them back!

No, i just meant in general, whenever we see my brothers in laws, the first thing that'll happen is you'll be offered food all the time. very nice gesture and all but there is only so much rice you can eat before feeling sick. As far as i can remember they did something like that shoe thing to my brother too.

Yep, everyone tries to feed you the whole time. There was lots of polite 'ooh, i couldn't eat another thing'!

    Congratulations etc

Sorry to sound disingenuous but is there any chance you could post comments on your 300D (Digital Rebel right?). Am considering getting one.
