Miss reading words since... ever ago

I have a word that I miss read every single time.

Bass... to me it's a fish. I catch them in the sea when i can and I eat them.

It's not a sound frequency range, not a speaker, nor an instrument... not unless the context is there. Then it is.

Example - I see a website/instapost/arsebook page etc with BASS LOVER, I'm going in there with my rod in my hand, right?

I see Bass Rig and I'm all over the lines, swivels, hooks and bait.......

So... what do you miss read? Cos i know you do.....

I live in Reading. I can be reading in Reading, in the same way you can get Polish polish (cue Polish remover joke).

At home (in Reading) I have a router and a router.
One is pronounced "Roo-ter" and gives me the interwebz... the other is a "Rao-ter" and gives me wooden furniture. I get the two mixed up quite often, especially as my router is a wireless router!

I always read Peculiar as peck you lar

I never say it that way, just read it that way in my head, annoys me no end.

i hate people that say Rout(rowt) instead of Route (root). One is a complete loss of discipline generally in the face of overwhelming odds on a battlefied, the other is a path to a destination.

As a dyslexic this would be a VERY long list.

I read faster than average, but very accurately, non-verbatim. Yet my comprehension is better than average.

My spelling on the other hand is much worse than average, and I just can't notice spelling mistakes. Mixed bag and all that.
