I did that to a low end logitech optical mouse in a moment of frustration and it died right there, I didn't have to deal with logitech though, just walked back into pc world with it.
Bought mine from komplett

i've had that happen to two of the older wireless ones (two in a row) - ended up replacing them with an ultra cheap wireless ms keyboard/mouse combo - not nearly as good, but 10 times more reliable.
might have to try going back to logitech tho as the new mice feel nicer.
well, I smacked it around a bit and changed the usb port and fingers crossed it seems to be working

Worth trying to RMA anyway, an unreliable mouse can be so annoying.
Hence why I always buy microsoft mice If anything does go wrong, I can ring them up and within 3 days (normally next day) I get a brand new one free
Well, I would not want to go through the hassle of RMA for them to test it and find it working. Smack around means removing the batteries, cleaning the contacts and swearing at it.Originally Posted by David
If i can get it working all the better. If it craps out again then its an intermittant fault and i will go for RMA
