    Firefox extensions :D

Had a browse through the extensions available.

I can reccomend foxy player, no more clutter on the task bar and I like the weather forecast plugin, very handy.

Flash blocker is also very useful and chatzilla for IRC.

Anyone else got any decent extensions installed?

Tabbrowser Extensions Love this one, give complete custom control over tabbed browsing
Adblock With a good set of rules from the forums you'll never see an ad or annoying flash anim again, a must have.
Bookmark Backup dumps your bookmarks to a custom location automatically every time you close Firefox. Really handy when you do re-installs or port an install to another machine etc.
ieview I like this one, puts "Open link target in IE" into the right click context menu so that you can open any link in Firefox with IE, for those awkward sites.
Image Zoom This one's nice, allows you to zoom in and out on any image within a page by using right-click+scroll wheel.

I use others here and there but those are my 'must haves'.

I have mouse gestures, although i use my scroll wheel click for it. Back, Forward, Up for new tab, up down for Refresh, up left/right to switch tab and down right to close a tab, simple as

I've also got TabBroswer and Download Statusbar, as i find the downloads windows really annoying.

The only other ones I've got apart from all them already mentioned (or versions thereof) is FireFTP... opens a nice clean FTP browser in a tab and a tab focus thingy - basically I've got any links clicked on etc opening in a new tab.. say I click on a picture it'll open in a new tab, and focus on that tab.. then when i double click on a tab ('nother extension ) it closes and focuses back to the last tab viewed Very lazy and VERY handy

BBCode is also very nice, as is the googlebar.

Not a firefox extension, but I can highly recommend "foxit" - a pdf reader thats much, much faster than adobes - and isn't a memory hog either
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

OK, I had to re-install FF a few nights ago, and since I didn't have bookmark backup back then (thanks rox0r ), I lost everything. I'm looking for an extension or setting that searches when you begin typing. For example, you type "e", it finds the 1st words beggining with e. If you then type "x", it's find the 1st word beggining with ex, and so on until you find your word.

    Anyone know what I mean?

To start searching when you type go to Tools - Options - Advanced - Accessibility and check "Begin finding when you begin typing". No extension required

Thanks - I didn't think it was an extension, but I couldn't find it anyway.
