    Scan Computers

Is it me or are their Todayonly offers even cheaper from places like eBuyer, Komplett etc? I remember once when TodayOnly was the hype and I always used to order stuff off them. Now, there are even cheaper places!

    Stupid.

PS: They sometimes have things cheaper, but not in the categories we would like! CHEAPER TODAYONLY Scan, if you want to compete!

Aye, I've noticed Scan aren't quite as cheap as three years ago. I guess it's to be expected - they're really quite a large business now and have more overheads, plus they operate a counter and telephone sales system unlike ebuyer. Still since they're local I get 95% of the stuff from them as I don't have to pay for PnP.

I was comparing prices between ebuyer and scan last night and on average ebuyer is cheaper albait only by a few £ here and there mostly.

I've never used scan so don't know what their service is like.

The only things that annoy me with ebuyer are their rma requests that take ages, which is quite annoying when you recieve a damaged pc case that your building for someone then have to wait a week and abit for everything to be sorted.
Thus annoying the peep that your building the pc for.
Also I noticed their standard delivery times are now about 7 days where they used to be only 3 or 4 days.

Still on the whole I've not had too much hassle apart from the odd wrong order here and there, plus their prices are very competitive.

They charge around £7 I think for P&P, depends on the size of the order.

I had an RMA for eBuyer, wasn't that bad ... Haven't noticed eBuyers delivery dates, yeah their standard service was 3 days. I hope they aren't going down the drain

I rarely check out their deal for a day page anymore because none of the prices are particulary low, and the delivery is too high I have only bought one thing from them, and that was mid 2002.

I use Scan quite regularly as its only 10 mins up the road

Saves me on P&P and what can be better than same day 'must haves'

I read the rma online isn't too great (topic on hexus about the bloke with the 9700 rma)

Living in Lancs is great for buying bits. Aria.co.uk is a 30 minute drive, Scan and Dabs are both 20 minutes in the other direction. Shame dabs closed their over-the-counter sales, but it doesn't really matter seeing as their p&p is so cheap.

Same applies to Simply... I used to take the tube up to their site to pick up.
