it's funny when one points out a case of spam, they themselves become a spammer!
I made soup......
1 oninon fine chopped.
4 new potato's with skins on, fine cubes(or two large normal spuds, its OK).....sweat both off, in a deep saucepan with 3 glugs of olive oil and one spoon of butter..(sweat means fry real gentle so it kinda steams in its own juices and DOESNT brown)....10 min like that......then in goes 1 pint of chicken stock.....(use a stock cube).....2 red peppers sliced finely...2 courgettes, finely sliced, or frankly any other veg you got hanging about........boil with lid on for 15 mins......gentle people, gentle......then big grinds of black pepper and a little sprinkle salt.... NO TOMATOS IN THIS ONE
then BLEND with hand blender or food processor.....it goes a lovely orangey red........get rid of ALL lumps on this one.....
Then let cool for 1 minute...where it all seems to thicken nicely just a bit....
serve with hunks of bread and butter......
total cost.......less than a £1.50.....feeds 2.....beautifull
