Do you think that smoking should be banned in all public places?

Ban it in places where it cant be controled and children and people that cant make the choice for them selves are concerned. e.g shopping centres and the like.
Bars and Pubs, seperate areas ala Wetherspoons.
Restaurants: seperate areas well ventilated.

I just hope soon they make smokers and heavy drinkers and ilegal drug users pay a higher national insurance to cover there burden they place on the health service!

smokers and drinkers already pay huge taxes on their cigarettes and alcohol

Just thought. It wouldnt supprise me if smoking was banned from public places totaly and you have to hold a lisence to let smokers smoke on your premesis. That way the government would make even more money out of smokers. Im against smoking in public places like shops, shoping centers and restaurants. Not so botherd about pubs cos i usually have a cigar when Im at a pub also parks. im not sure about because of the litter and kids and stuff. hmmm. Ban it from anywhere except houses and pubs.

Yup, ban it, of course you're free to smoke in your own home etc, and other designated places, but I think people have the right to wander around and breath relitively clean air.

Put it this way, the department of the environment have guidelines for what industry can vent into the atmosphere to avoid harmful pollution, why shouldn't that apply to people smoking too..
