    What are you afraid of??

Did anyone see the programme about Phobias on Weds night?

There were people with the usual phobias... spiders, frogs and toads, birds, buttons (?!) etc.... but there was also one poor bloke who was seriously terrified of......

    ......BAKED BEANS!!!!
Don't laugh! It was serious!! The poor man was very nearly sick with the mere thought of baked beans boiling in a pan. Luckily, there was a psychiatrist who managed to sort him out to an extent, but poor bloke, what a nightmare!!!

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

    Needles (injection type)

Come within 10 meters of me holding a needle and you better start running.

Not much to be honest... there's lots of stuff that I don't like, but not really anything I'm afraid of. Cottage cheese is possibly the only thing that scares me.

Hyperdermics arent that bad for injections. Its the drinking straws they use to take blood that im afraid of.

    "That's not a needle! That's a frikkin straw from a ribena carton!"

Heights also gets me a bit, but i have since turned it into a twisted sence of "fun" since going rock climbing. I actually now LOVE to scare myself by standing near windows and looking down from high buildings. I dont rock climb anymore cause of tendonitis problems with my fingers but it was such a thrill at the time.

Oo yea, another one is people putting objects near eyes. Thinking about contact lenses even makes me cringe.

And, open sea. I hate swimming out into open sea and not being able to see the bottom.
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

i won't go swimming in the sea unless i've got something on my feet.when i was a young lad on holiday in portugal i stood on a stonefish, luckily as i was getting out the water there was this italian doctor(or at least he said he was ) sat next to where we were and he knew what it was straight away.he told my brother and my old man to hold me down while he proceeded to crack open his tupperware box, suffice to say a bread knife and a good slice of flesh from my big-toe later i was ok

lol @ Cottage cheese noooooooo stay back

me too! only as far as I know, it doesn't arise out of any past incident in my case, just an irrational fear

Dude, you were lucky! isn't the stonefish just about the most poisonous thing in the sea??!!

My other phobia is reaching the age of 25 and realising that you have a woman, house, car and job, and that 2.4 kids, the M word and a dog are but a few years away.

Oh wait, that's a reality. ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

Ex-girlfriends, depending on the situation they can be pretty scary. I try to stay away from some of them.
