Check that link out. The guy has some awesome pics, many of dogs but he uses a Canon EOS Digital Rebel which is a sexy camera indeed. Whilst on this note, does anyone know of any good online retailers of camera?

Kezzer - it depends on what you're after...if you recall Tom a while back got through cameras like no one's business cause they were all a bit dodgy - ebuyer has grey imports so don't go there. check for hot pixels etc and should be fine. he eventually went to jessops and haggled the price down to something more appropriate than the prices they quote in their shops...

most jessops price match online, reading over the internet if the store is in the UK (excludes 7dayshop) and if the item is instock.

Jessops won't price match ebuyer but most Jessop stores don't know that!

I went in and quoted ebuyers price of around £1000 for a 20D ( I didn't let on it was a grey import as Ebuyer don't state that either) Jessops price was £1289. They rang head office and asked to price match head office went as low as £1065. I took that offer since ebuyer was a grey import and it was the lowest price at the time Jessops were going to offer (I'm not sure who they were price matching at £1065).

The store I went to originally offered to price match to around £1120 against local competition but I asked them to match the online price since I knew the Birmingham store price matched around £1050 the week before. I went to the Leamington Spa store on the Parade at the end of the day it is also managers discretion.

I tried to get them to price match compact flash, they came down by about £50 but were still £5 more expensie than ebiyer delivered.

Plus Ebuyer has no phone support so they couldnt actually phone ebuyer to see if it was a grey import.

As for the master plan as soon as I heard on Hexus that Ebuyer sold the 20D at 1K, I knew Jessops price matched so I was down there that afternoon I was waiting for the 350D but this was too good a bargain to miss,

BTW I took in a print screen of the Ebuyer checkout screen with shipping as requested by them on the phone.

Well i live on the same island as where 7dayshop is based so i can get off the shipping costs, mind you, they charge something like 70p to go into the shop and pick it up! XD

    That's expensive! Shame i'm a student

getting a dSLR price matched via astute haggling process at jessops...thats what I'm plotting. then order lenses via 7dayshopor other cheaper source of quality glass for a bit less.

btw camera2u.co.uk is jessops - they just don't tell you that.

I would be tempted to buy lens online, but the first lens i bought had a crack in it. So I will only ever buy them from a shop now

Jessops, it had a small 3-4mm crack inside the lens, wasn't evident on the photos but the lens went straight back. From now on I will always look through the actual lens in the shop.
