Are AMD,Intel and Nvidia going to have to raise prices??
Apparently the 25% tariff on certain Chinese products might affect a whole lot of stuff made in China:

This will affect anything like motherboards,cases,etc imported by the US. However,a bigger issue is AMD packages large numbers of its chips in China(Malaysia is the other place),and Intel has 2 of its 4 assembly test facilities in China. China is 1/3 of Nvidia's business too.
The issue is whether to protect US sales due to its sales volume,instead of passing on the full 25% will these companies increase their prices worldwide,to limit the average increase to the US consumer??

I dunno,but considering the amount of rebates,etc available on US DIY hardware sales,ie,like free motherboards,and cashback esssentially making parts almost free,its surprising there isn't any noise on that. Examples are Corsair who for years had rebates only for US customers,which made a number of their PSUs massively cheaper then customers in the EU. So one way around it is too do more rebates for US customers over others.
However,Intel literally gave away Atom CPUs,and nothing happened on that especially since AMD got screwed over.

Apparently Apple is exempt but no noise on AMD or Intel.
