    Help restoring old user name

Guys, i used to come on here years ago. My old user name was:

    Cam1986

As it has been so long i dont remember my password! It asks for an email address to reset the password but i am not sure i remember that either! I think it was a yahoo email address, one i dont use anymore and gone defunct.

Any chance i can get back to using my old user name?

contact PeterB - there was a forum password reset thing last year. You're not the first, won't be the last.

Obviously, we need to somehow verify that you are indeed the owner of that account, but yes, we can sort that.

Once we confirm that, we can change the old a/c password and tell you. You can then access the account, update the email and vhange the password again, to something we don't know. For obvious reasons, we can override your old oassword, but have no way to retrieve an old one.

    Ello ello

    I remember cam1986

The problem is this ...and it's pretty obvious- people try to scam us. And if we were to allow the access to an old account via a new password and we got it wrong....frankly... well you can imagine the excerment that hits the fan when that person goes into the For Sale forum and scams someone..or posts naughty things about someone.

Not pretty and not worth it.

The old accont only had 500 posts so you've lost very little

I suspect that our top guys (Peterb, G8ina etc ) will have to say no unless the proof is indestructable.
I would say no...sorry.. to brace yaself
