New 4x4 for school run mums

Good grief! As if tarquin isn't protected enough!

Anyone see page 21 of the metro today? The new Kombat 4x4 armoured car to go on sale in the uk

Kombat! Protect tarquin from bullets, anti-tank rounds and eggs thrown from bullies!

    Humvee? Move over!

Thing is... it looks like a tank with a big windscreen... and the "T-98" designation kinda lends proof to it dontcha think??

A friend has a 101FC, he uses it to live in when he takes his tractor / crawler collection to shows. We were at a 4x4 course when he turned up to take it around, it got stuck very easily, but then he had it recovered and had about a 3/4 ton dropped in the back, was unstopable after that.
They make an awesom camper van, hudge inside. The 24v FFR version with the hard top is best for living in, but you cant beat a rag top for summer cruising. Quiet a few people have had LPG tanks added, more than enough room underneath and can be a lot cheaper than having proper diesel conversion.

Place you would have seen one before, somebody did modify a Judge Dreed one to be road legal.

Standard engine is a 3.5 V8 rover, for you non landy people.

Yep. Think the owner takes the local cadet force out as well. When we go out shooting in the summer we take the roof and doors of the short wheel base land rover. The windscreen drops down as well, we do get some odd looks hurtling around the lanes clad in cammo with the dog in the back.
