Aye I like that.
I'm going to take a look at that. It could be a very important film. At an age where most of us simply can't remember, because we weren't there, this can help us learn and 'remember' at least a small part.

Pah, only cinema showing it locally is sold out. One showing at 6pm???
Maybe worth going anyway in case of cancellations - or see if they have a cancellations list?

Suggest an additional showing? If they get interest they might add one extra? It's worth asking, they can only say no....
Maybe even reach out to local media - an important film, they might be interested in seeing if others are interested, raise awareness - lots of people might be unaware of it, and via that get extra showings?

I found another cinema that I have never been to that is 25 minutes the other direction. Seems all cinemas are doing this at 6pm so I guess it is some sort of streaming event. Over £20 per ticket though, including parking it is going to be £100 to take a family of 4, double what I was thinking so I will have to pass.
I'm sure it will be out on blu-ray.
this brings an interesting question to light...
it's a one day only showing... so what will Peter Jackson do with it after that?
Blueray for charity?
Free on Youtube?

You should find a way to see this. Really.
A related discussion came up on the reddits today, which was interesting:

It was on BBC2 last weekend, was only on iPlayer for 7 days...
