Lightbulb A quick survey if you don't mind.

Hi. If you could kindly take the time to answer these questions, I'd be extremely grateful:

    1. Do you love PC related...stuff?

    2. Do you often read game and hardware news, reviews and interviews online or in magazines?

    3. Do you often buy PC magazines?

    4. Do you ever install the software that comes with these magazines?

    5. Do you wish there was more of it (such as more game demos, videos, utilities etc)?

    6. Are you interested in modding?

    7. Do you have broadband?

    8. Have you ever bought something online?

    9. If so, do you feel safe buying things using your credit card or PayPal?

    10. Lastly, would you spend £2 for a magazine, which is sent to your email rather than bought from a store?

This info is just to gauge how well an idea of mine will fare.

    Thanks

    Do you love PC related...stuff?
Yes, My computers are my pride and joy.

Do you often read game and hardware news, reviews and interviews online or in magazines?
Games, not as much, but Hardware usually, and especially when I'm looking to do an upgrade.

Do you often buy PC magazines?
    no
Do you ever install the software that comes with these magazines?
    no
Do you wish there was more of it (such as more game demos, videos, utilities etc)?
    Not really
    Are you interested in modding?
    Yes
    Do you have broadband?
    Yes
Have you ever bought something online?
    Yes
If so, do you feel safe buying things using your credit card or PayPal?
Credit card yes, paypal i don't use
Lastly, would you spend £2 for a magazine, which is sent to your email rather than bought from a store?
Depends on the quality of the editorial. If it's too masculine, then i'll rather not. If it has stuff I'm interested in, then yes.
I like the fact that you can pre-read/skim a magazine in a shop, something to think about with an emailed version. I wouldn't like to pay £2 for something that is unknown and irrelevant.

    1) Yes, very much so
    2) I tend to read a lot of my stuff in magazines (I read on the loo alright!) but I do read reviews etc online. I also like to read the editorials/articles posted by most sites
    3) I have a subscription to two PC related magazines
    4) Occassionally, most of it is rubbish though
    5) I think there should be more because, well there is so much rubbish on them, if there is more of it, you have a bigger chance of finding a gem (like I discovered RealVNC on a cover disc)
    6) I like to mod a bit in my spare time, but I don't have much time for all these hardcore mods etc.
    7) Yup
    8) All the time
    9) I prefer PayPal but if it's something really expensive, i'd much rather use plastic (or on a site I know and trust)
    10) Most probably, i'd want to be able to get the e-mails resent (if the magazine was e-mail only) because I might be using a POP3 mailbox
