    Sci-fi check

    http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn7077

Blimey! Lasers and PEP's and all those kind of things. Being able to cause so much pain it would knock you off your feet from up to 2km away! Pretty harsh but effective, the police wouldn't have to get anywhere near the riot, just press a big button and hey presto

Although the "ethical" issues with this are bad? True because it could get into the wrong hands, surely it must damage you physically in some way?

preventing light bouncing back? well wouldnt that just make it black????

I thought that in order to make things look invisible that they would have to sense the
light behind and project it forward.

Are you meaning hitch hikers guide to the galaxy? If so, I don't remember a black space ship.

P.S. I'm really looking forward to the film. Everyone, go see it on the 29th of April .

    Only a year ago?

You can bet your life that they've had the idea a hell of a lot longer than that to even be researching it
