Christmas Lunch - London Restaurants

Hi guys,

I’m looking at organising a little get together for a few friends and thought a nice Christmas meal would do the trick. I’ve found a number of places, one of which, Browns Restaurant. Seems well within price range and good Christmas menu.

Can anyone recommend any restaurants that they’ve been to or in general for a Christmas meal, inside London.

In terms of price, I’m looking at something in the region of £30-£40 per person however if you can just provide any recommendations, I’ll be incredibly grateful! Many thanks

Do you mean Christmas day itself or just in the run-up?

Browns is generally fine, reasonable food and service. Can be a bit noisy depending on which one and what time of day. In the evenings they are more bars that do food than restaurant. ie can become a bit crowded

Apologies, I should have been clearer. The meant in the run up to Christmas, so a restaurant which offers a christmas menu. Good opportunity to get into the festive spirit!

Hawksmor is a lovely places however they are far too expensive for what I had in mind. I certainly don’t want to be going over £40 per person for a full course meal.

Ideally a place situated in central London, however, it all depends on availability. I’m not too bothered about noise as well be booking around 7pm ish anyway

Browns will usually be a good balance of price and quality. Covent Garden is the flagship and upstairs on Old Jewry is quite good.
