/me groans :P
as long as it pays the bills and you can sleep at night, whilst we are on here :)
I am not even going to applogise. We operate as a commericlal organsiation and we have bills to pay - running just the forums is costs which you would not even like to dream about.
We took feedback about the Newegg situation, and are trying out some new people.
Please make sure you do indeed click on the banners and support the site.
Will do....even if its Microsoft, which, some people on this forum have a vendetta against, remember what pays for you to use this forum, and indeed, this whole site :thumbsup:Quote:

now, wonder if we get a red-hat ad to join the ms one
edit: nope. darn.
Microsoft, brilliant ad. I've never fallen into the trap of knocking them for the sake of it, nor because its trendy to do so, as people do with Microsoft and BT.
:) the advert at the top (ie the google one) is for Wiltshire Dating... not sure if google is trying to tell me something :inquisiti Anyhow nice one David for responding to the feedback about the newegg advert - I hope that it does not negatively affect any bills which have to be paid :)
Without Microsoft we would not be where we are now.
Rightly or wrongly this is the way of the world - of course you don't have to like their applications but I use Windows because it is easy and works
Other than giving money and clicking links how can we mere readers help hexus?
Well of course spreading the name and the word - we need to keep the forums and community growing in order to get to the next level
Well, quite frankly whatever keeps hexus going is good for us. And nearly all ofus suck at the teet of Sir Bill of Gates anyway! ;)
Well, exactly. Without Microsoft and Windows things would be very different. I use Windows because... you put a disk in, watch some pretty pictures whilst it installs, then its on, and works, and since XP at least, never crashes.Quote:

Nice looking add as well :)
I would have preferred it if Newegg had opened a U.K. arm. That would have been a better solution to the problem;). Anyway, I clicked the ad even though I have no idea what visual studio does:confused:.
