Re: the 2018 Hexus Christmas story thread

you happen to glance again in the direction of an elderly, white-bearded man whom you had taken at first to be Jeremy Corbyn, and realize with a cold start it is in fact Old Father Nearly Time To End Extended Support For Windows 7. If he's here already, then.. you look at your watch - 12.01 am, 1 January 2020. Sighing, you reluctantly accept the fact that going back to the 70s is off the menu, as the tea machine (in a not previously mentioned because cobbled-up now, retro-applicable plot development) can only take you back 40 years max, so you've missed the cut-off for 1979. As we all know, the 80's are practically yesterday, so it's hardly worth the bother going back.. oh well, just have to lump it in the present after all. Maybe it won't be so bad; what's the worst that can happen..?

Going back to the 80s would mean a massive Tory majority parliament, Liverpool dominating domestic and European football. Man u being mediocre, the charts being overturned by new waves of digitally driven music, etc etc. Agreed there is no point going back there although the deloreans would be cool no?
