    Binary Watches

    Right, thought this was a joke at first, but no, Binary Watches DO exist!

    So how does a binary watch work?

    These watches display time in binary format. They use LED lights to indicate hours and minutes. Translating the time from binary to decimal is easy:

    - LED ON indicates 1.

    - LED OFF indicates 0.

    - The total of lit LEDs on the upper row indicates the hour (8-4-2-1).

    - The total of lit LEDs on the lower row indicates minutes (32-16-8-4-2-1).

    Perfect for those who want to exercise their mind!

    they've had them on thinkgeek.com for a while, watches and clocks

    ajbrun - the point is that its a geeky way to tell the time, as its all in binary none geeks wouldnt be able to tell the time from the watch

    There was another watch like that that used an LCD to display a binary matrix. It could switch to decimal format as well (so you could cheat). Still really want one - If only I could find a link!
