As everyone with eyes will have seen this past few weeks on TV its once again Red Nose day.
Why should we bother some may ask ? Is it all worth it ?
Alot of these third world countries are suffering from mass debt, something that is being looked into by our government now. Is it enough ?

Children walking the streets due to losing their parents to HIV and AIDS, this is the norm and everyday life for alot of countries, no one in their right mind can just walk by and not blink an eyelid. You see all these shorts on TV, Oxfam ads and Comic Relief itself. Alot of people ask if these shorts are necessary or just made to pull on our heart strings ?
Alot of you will remember me getting all hyped up last year when I booked my trip to Kenya (African republic). Yeah it was a great holiday I have to say and the people are the friendliest I have ever met, willing to be of help at all times. However, travelling through large towns like Mombasa on the coast I was expecting to see a beautiful city. This was not the case, it looked like a giant shanty town made up from loose sheets of corrugated steel and anything else they could get their hands on, prosperous didnt come to mind really. I have seen these films in real life with my own two eyes, it is deeply upsetting, I went out with one of the hotel porters to look round Mombasa on my 2nd day there and those images are real. Africa alone is a wonderful place, alot of the schools would gladly accept a ream of paper and a box of pencils to help education, how much would that cost us, next to nothing and it is really easy to do. If these people in some way could help you wether poor or not they would.
It is well known about the British people giving in times of need, we raised millions for the Tsunami appeal alone, we are a great and proud nation. I know alot of us on here donated odd amounts from our Paypal accounts to help the relief in that disaster. I am sure we can all do something similar again.
