    ATMs in USA

Flying out to California tomorrow and need to know a bit about accessing my cash while over there - it seems I can use Cirrus on my debit card - how easy is it to find a Cirrus cash machine in US - anybody?

    Thanks

Fairly easy. In fact, very easy indeed.

Oh, if you are in California, go and find one of these places:

    http://www.in-n-out.com/

And order a "double double animal style". Then prepare to eat the finest burger in existence.

LOL - eating shouldn't be an issue, I have a sense for these things.
Starting in Los Angeles - picking up a Dodge Intrepid (assuming I don't get a free upgrade) Few days at Anaheim, drive to Lake Havasoe (spelling), Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Mammoth (skiing), Lake Tahoe (skiing) and finally San Francisco for a few days. Bu the question remains, is it easy to lay my hands on the greenbacks?

Seriously, they are the best burgers in California. Ask anyone who lives there and they will tell you the same thing, I guarantee it. They are all over Cali, but there's deffo one in SF (Fishermans Wharf) and another just across the golden gate from the city.

You have to ask for the burger "animal style" - they will know what you mean; they fry the burger with mustard and it is simply indescribably good.

re cash - they don't really do atm's in the same way as here - I had a mission in socal trying to get hard cash - ended up just using 7-11's to get cash most of the time, unless a shopping centre was around.
usually not an issue finding one - but generally went around with about 500 in cash at any time (just to speed things up) if you're going to be on the road - then it's going to be harder to get cash - most highway "diners" and "filling stations" didn't have cash points (except for the newer UK/European style ones) but then again - I was driving south past baja.
