If the mods are up for some constructive critisism. The time taken to approve posts is ridiculous. And prohibitive to new members.
I understand the reasons for it, and that you think it's nessesary. But, if your going to do this, you do need to be quicker in dealing with them.

Kinda rude and ignorant to be frank.

Most of the Mods / admins you see on the forum are volunteers and don't get paid to monitor the forums, they have real jobs to attend..

Hello all.

Sorry it's a long job. We have an auto system that cross reference spam lists and known problem IP's but it's a lot more complex than that, because then a human needs to use experience and brain power on the ones that might be legit, to work out who is legit and which is a clever new bot software.
In the run up to Christmas I was doing hundreds and I have to cross reference the content to see if its a real person or a copy paste from another place to make it look like a legit post. New problem IP addresses show up, and old problem ones gain innocent users too. So it's a human job and it's a balance

Normal service has resumed and I will check as often as I can.

One thing we can be certain of - we don't need the fake accounts that apply to be "members". You'd be amazed, disgusted, shocked and saddended by the utter dross, the gambling, the drugs and the scams and tricks that attempt to "join"
