Wasn't this quite expensive in reality, and only really of use if you buy a lot of items, or you club together with several others ?

Sometimes stuff gets through some times it doesnt, its a bit of a 50/50 thing depending on the courier (DHL in this case)

DHL is dodgy. I had something shipped from the US and only now 3 months later did I get a bill from them for £38!! I've had very good experiences just shipping USPS Global Express, I've had several £££ items come through with no VAT/charges (and no bills 3 months later)
