I am getting a little frustrated with google, does anyone know anything else better?

Something that doesn't just throw advertising sites at you like Kelkoo and stuff, also that has a more structured return of sites, ie catagories.Originally Posted by iMc

that kind of thing works for me

Google is the rule, it shall always be. Use it like everyone else and be silent.
ditto what Vaul said
Google is great, if u dont like advert sites coming up in ur searches your going to struggle to find a good engine - your better off doing what Twigman said and be a bit more advanced with your searchs.

google sucks! The only good thing about it is the nice little pictures, like today's water one.
If you find something better than google than we shall all be pleased to hear about it. The reason so many poeple use it is because it is the best.

Google is a verb. "Googling" something is becoming an everyday term. Nothing tops Google.

Ditto.
I've never heard someone say they 'alta vista-ed' a word or they are busy yahooing!
You've probably also never heard someone say you're ugly, but you can be damn sure they say it behind your back.Originally Posted by Matt1eD

I've heard people say 'your ugly' on numerous occasions; I'm just not bothered by it - and they probably say it alot more (like twice in my life) than 'alta-vista-ed; , but I have once said yahooing... I think!
Edit:- But not nearly often as googling.

Seriously though, I never hear any other search engines used in that form in sentences other than Google. It's taking over the world
