Cost of preparation for Brexit
These are nearly all wooden dollars

ie so long as the money was spent on UK staff, and UK companies, and tax was paid on them, then those people will spend most of that money here in the UK anyway.

as long at that "new infrastructure" was UK based, and so long as the the majority of the external advice was UK sourced, then it was cheap as chips.
Getting some money out of the UK Government coffers and into tax payers wallets cant be a bad thing, can it?

Yes... I was just thinking, now that Brexit has been committed to, we need a related topic to keep us divided. :p

Better spent on beaurocrats, consultants, poorly made panic deals and fines for those deals than the NHS, that's what I say. Having waited for 11 months for routine surgery it's clear it would be a waste of money to send the £350 million a week saved from the EU to the NHS when there are ferry companies with no boats that need it more.

Not always the case. For example, if that government money was spent employing one team of people to drop litter and another team to pick it up to increase employment it wouldn't be a good thing. Unless you believe in communist propaganda.
