What about some help on some F@H WUs with the new test systems and that Epyc chip? :^)
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
If you could help me out with a 2080Ti I think that would see me through these troubling times
Other than that all good![]()

We have re-allocated all of our rendering powers (a lot of GPUs) to F@H the bit-tech team did it - https://folding.extremeoverclocking....p?s=&u=1045414

I'm doing okay, I hope everyone else is too and continues to be.
It's certainly a very worrying time to be in, especially with the regular news reports of seemingly very healthy people losing their lives to it, let alone those with pre-existing conditions, as well as the NHS staff lost to it too.
The idiots blatantly ignoring the lockdown and treating it as a holiday obviously don't help with the situation, putting themselves and others at risk.
I go up and down. This week I'm like a zombie, can't work effectively, can't get to sleep. Tedious. Don't mind the whole stay-at-home thing, I don't really get why I'm struggling this week. I do feel like I could really use a serious game of football, or a gym session etc. Something to knacker me out and force my body to sodding SLEEP.
Oh, and if anyone knows a way to get my Ryzen machine to stop ramping-up and down the fans every few minutes with seemingly every action do let me know. I'm doing my nut - I sourced quiet fans, same kit as in my old intel rig for some of it, and this machine is so much louder. Not a happy bunny given the money spent.
Have you setup a fan curve?
Jon
I know I had a few issues with the fan curve in the bios not being the same as in the software for Windows, this is a Gigabyte board, however have you installed the Ryzen power plan?
Jon
I'm coping just fine, thanks for asking; I work from home anyway so it's pretty much normality for me. Same with the Mrs, she's an essential worker in the whisky industry so nothing much has changed for her either.
What I am getting peeved off with, however, is people thinking this lockdown doesn't apply to them. I'm getting absolutely fed up to the back teeth of hearing about people travelling 300 miles to visit The Lake District, or visiting their second home, or just nipping round to see their parents. Basically a big fat middle-finger to anyone that's abiding by the rules.
The only time I've left the house for 5 weeks now is to walk the dog around the neighbourhood, or do my weekly volunteering at The Food Train, delivering supplies and food to the elderly. The Mrs already has to leave the house for work so she's been doing the shopping and all of that stuff.
How are you keeping, DR?

We are getting by ok, going a little stir crazy and everyone in the household has been getting a bit snappy. Our 6 month old male husky jumped up and scratched my new reactions varifocals after everywhere was shut down, thankfully do have a spare pair I can still see out of until the opticians can open again!
Life in general just seems to have a different pace at the moment so it is trying to rekindle interests that are getting a bit stale. I have started playing through Skyrim again and reading my various graphic novels and old Beano books.
Just taking the time to appreciate things a bit more I would say
I hope everyone else reading this are ok and coping with everything
Honestly, I've been a lot better. As someone in one of the 'at risk' groups, I'm under the 'shielding' programme, which means I won't be going out for at least another nine weeks. And even then, I doubt I'll be going out; I can see myself being self-isolated until a vaccine is available, so realistically, another 18 months. Not a very pleasant prospect, but then neither is catching the virus.
My parents are another concern, as they're both in their mid-eighties. My Mum & Dad went on holiday to France last October, driving down to stay at their holiday home. Unfortunately, just before they were due to return, my Mum fell over, and managed to break her hip in the process. Well, my Mum went into hospital for an emergency hip-replacement operation. After many complications not all related to her fall, my Mum ended up staying in hospital in France for a further four months. Finally, my sister flew over to France, and helped drive my Mum & Dad back to the UK on the very day the France imposed their full lock-down on travel. So after that ordeal, my poor parents returned to the UK, only to be 'self-isolated' and unable to see any of the family. So it's now seven months since I've seen them, and goodness knows when I will get to see them again in person. It's good to know they're safe though.
So all in all...life is difficult. I keep telling myself that it could be a hell of a lot worse of course. You've only got to watch the news to realise that.
I'm OK.
I'm working. That whole essential thing. We've actually been really busy, including moving hundreds of tons of medical supplies in to New York for FEMA. Right now the company is actually doing really well, benefiting from no passenger airlines carrying belly freight.
But airline industry is not a happy place. Even when life is switched on again, things won't go back to normal for years. Right now it's anticipated that if the shutdown ends soon, it will be 2024 before the industry gets back to normal. The only people travelling for the foreseeable future will be business travelers. Passenger carriers will furlough 30-40% of their workforce in October, when the government bailout allows, and several of the low cost carriers will go bankrupt.
I'll probably be out next year, with the fall in consumer demand. I'm hoping I can save enough to survive a year of unemployment, because there won't be any other jobs available. The UK will likely fare a lot better.
Haad an odd cold, random coughing, sneezing, since pancake day.
So not been out or seen friends, didnt want them getting it,
Yesterday computer locked up in post, just before the memoryc check, left it 10 mins stil, locked up, so pressed restart button, all fans spin up but no signal on monitor.
