[Help] VPN Kill Switch Killed My Internet

I'm not sure if this is where I'm supposed to ask, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

After trying out the service with Nord vpn and it is working out well, I tried using the VPN Kill Switch feature. It works well! However, ever since I've disconnected from the VPN (Yes, I did choose disconnect in the options)... I've been unable to connect to any internet services whatsoever.

    I've tried:

    Rebooting the computer

Closing out of the Nord vpn software

Reconnecting to the Nord VPN (Unable to succeed)

Turning off the option for VPN Internet Kill Switch (And saving it)

Forgetting the internet network and putting all of the details back in again

Reconnecting to a different internet network

Uninstalling and reinstalling the nord vpn

Any help is appreciated! Thank You!

Have you tried looking at the TAP drivers? I didn't see any mention of it in your post and not sure if uninstalling the VPN will always properly remove the TAP.

    https://support.nordvpn.com/Connecti...g-to-a-VPN.htm

Where they mention "3. Disable it and enable it again. Try to connect now." - I would try just disabling it, not re-enabling it, and seeing if that cures the issue.

I'm not too sure how it achieves this but it might help (assuming you're on Windows) to run the network troubleshooter and let it fix any problems it finds.

I'd also suggest checking the DNS settings for the network adapter, to see what that is pointing to, as the Killswitch might use a local instance of something like dnscrypt-proxy that is only active if the VPN software is active at the time, and the DNS could be pointing at that.

You can try resetting the network stack.

    Uninstall Nord and reboot.
Open an admin command shell (cmd.exe) and type the following
    Code:
    netsh int ip reset
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh advfirewall reset

most likely changes were made to the services, you need to restore the registry settings to default.
