OK, so I've been happily configuring a wireless setup for one of our broadband enabled sites, and set up the machine of the chap who came in to pick up the kit (for various reasons there are three boxes. Yes you can get wireless ADSL routers. No they're not any use to us.). He's happy enough, but then he reaches into a pocket, and hands me...a PCMCIA card. Belonging to another chap, who wants access to the wireless network. Now I've set the hapless user of the card up on another site for wireless access, and he knows damn well that I need his machine. But he just sends his PCMCIA card. I believe the words "utterly <bleep>ing imbecilic" may have just passed my lips.
USERS! Can't live with them, can't shoot...hang on; you know, why not?
