I still have it on the shelf here. Never thrown it out. Took it to one interview aged 16 and the chap was "what's this? I've never seen one of these before". I quickly learned it was irrelevant. A handy place to keep all those old BS certificates just in case I need to prove I sat some maths challenges and a piano exam! It still contains the personal statement, work experience statement and CV I wrote aged 16. The ink has now bled into the plastic sleeves. I'll just have to burn the thing. Garbage that really doesn't need keeping anymore.

I can still remember the horrible plastic smell. I doubt they can be recycled... can they?
No trees were harmed in the creation of this message. However, many electrons were displaced and terribly inconvenienced.

Not quite as bad as the Qashqai it replaced but still very disappointing when its not even 5 years old (Electric window, heating, suspension). Wife's Rapid is better in that respect, but it does keep throwing DSG gear select errors occasionally. Think i'll go back to Hyundai next time. Most reliable car I've ever had by about 100% - the drive may have been dull but I'd take reliability any day.
For bombproof reliability a Japanese or Korean hatchback with a manual gearbox and naturally aspirated petrol engine is a safe bet.

I generally have to drive an auto due to weird issue with leg cramps at night if I drive a manual too much but yeah my Hyundai 1.4 naturally aspirated i20 auto took every bit of abuse I threw at it for 8 years/80000+ miles before it had its first repair (i.e. not maintenance like brakes). I was not kind to it either as it loved to kick down when you slammed the accelerator down, so it was always revving hard up and down the motorway. I think that's why my first VAG group car being a POS straight after is such a disappointment. I know Seat is supposed to be the worst of the 3big VAG brands but the issues I have seem common with the Golf its based on...

I find other people generally perform their stuff better than they ever did.

Also I'm told, by a friend, that you need to have partaken of certain legally prohibited substances in order for their songs to make sense. Something to do with them doing the same when they wrote all this.

Mine hasn't been updated since I left either, but I do know exactly where it is as I've kept it in the same place for years.

Straight away I can get into the likes of The Animals, The Hollies and early Stones but just find the Beatles a hard listen, they just don't do it for me
Much the same as me, but with Radiohead. I just don't get it

Music is really subjective at the best of times anyway. There's no guarantee you'll like everything a band/musician produces, you might only like one or two songs - if you even like any at all (admittedly you can say that about pretty much anything though).

I can't say I'm a fan of the The Beatles either. If I do like any of their songs, it'll be because someone else covered it instead though.

oh my! have you never heard Revolver? So many firsts on there! Blew me away when I heard it. The evolution from Help-Rubber Soul-Revolver-Sgt Peppers is amazing. First twin tracking lead guitars, first studio reverse tape loop soloing, first drum and bass song (albeit it wasn't called that then), etc etc.

it was more Sony trying to hog the tech and not adopting a licensing model like VHS. Once a critical mass of companies invest in the rival tech, and it can roll out cheaper for 80% of the ability it gets its own momentum. The purists may shell for the superior tech, but the wider market dictates what survives. interestingly Sony didn't entirely learn from it. They still try to push their own tech and hog it eg ATRAC music files - anyone use those anymore? Anyone?
