Rush Limbaugh - US radio host - lung cancer
I'm sure he was a big deal in the States, but the most I know about him is from the Family Guy episode S09E02 "Excellence in Broadcasting" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excell...n_Broadcasting

Cliff Simon, Baal, SG1...
Kite boarding accident
Oh darn! His character in SG1 was one of the more memorable villains in sci-fi for me.
I'm also shocked to discovered he's only appeared in 15 episodes of the series and the Continuum movie. His acting left a lasting impression, probably because his character appeared from 2001 to 2007 in the series.
RIP
Quote from his wife:
A small saving grace to this tragedy is that he was doing one of the things he loved most and passed away on the beach near the water, which was his temple.

The fact he was only in 15 episodes shows what kind of energy and charisma he brought to the role, there was going to be an interview with him on Sunday on Dial the Gate, now that's going to be a Memorium...

Just heard on BBC Radio News, but no details beyond that.
A lesson learned from PeterB about dignity in adversity, so Peter, In Memorium, "Onwards and Upwards".
