Good to hear from you space_in_vader, I've been thinking about where you're at, so thank you for the update. Finger crossed you pick up at least for a little while, try and enjoy the sunshine while it's here
I can only echo what others have said. Thank you for the update and in my thoughts.
Jon
Really good to hear from you. I hope you get news that number 2 is the answer. While not a good one, the lesser of two evils. I hope at the very least, you can be comfortable in the days and weeks ahead.

So far, so good. No adverse reaction yet from dropping the chemo and by & large I feel better for it. Early days though, had the scan yesterday and results will come next Tuesday so we'll see what happens.
Did just manage a very nice weekend on the Suffolk coast, fantastic food, great company and brilliant weather for January. Just nice to get out occasionally.

That's good to hear. Hoping for more of the same and a good scan result.
So pleased to hear that, weather has been reasonably good considering it's January, plenty of sunshine, at least here in Yorkshire. Glad you're making the most of it
Good to be out and about, keep that going for as long as possible..
Had the results of the first scan today.
Tumour is stable (no growth,) the liver metastasis (little bits of cancer floating around,) haven't expanded or spread but I do have a few 3-7mm bits appear on my lungs but the oncologist is not worried about those becoming an issue. This is good news.
Further good news is my pulmonary embolism has gone and there are no signs of any new ones. Overall his new prognosis is that he doesn't see anything untoward happening before the end of April and I might even last another 6 months.
That's a big lift the day before my 38th and final birthday, particularly as I've had a really rough past 24hrs when I haven't been able to get out of bed.
Less than 25% of pancreatic cancer patients manage a year after diagnosis, for me thats June. That, and my youngest's birthday at the end of May are my next targets.
Bugger hasn't got me yet.
