Well given the last few years, we'll have to see....

Happy New Year everyone.
I too hope it will be a good one, but we'll have to wait and see.

Rather like most here, I hope everyone has a good year, but I'm not wildly optimistic about it.
A lesson learned from PeterB about dignity in adversity, so Peter, In Memorium, "Onwards and Upwards".

Feeling just about ready to say happy new year. Two weeks of flu or whatever has just about passed, only left with a possibly unrelated headache and bad stomach (and no I'm not hungover...). Christmas was a bit of a write off, struggled through the (delayed) day but paid the price of doing to much and just felt horrific for the rest of the week.
So yeah, onwards and upwards. I'm hoping for a bit more fun this year, which is partly just on me to get out and do more as well as the general drain of family life.
Best wishes to everyone though, I hope it is a good one for people personally and that the world decides to sort itself out a bit!
Bit late but happy new year all. Would quite like a better year if I'm honest. My year was finished off by a Tesco van hitting my car (pulled out of junction into the side of me) which was icing on the cake for the year and way more stress than it should have been (Still awaiting my car back having originally assumed it was a write off. Probably a good thing as any replacement would be no newer given current pricing.). That accident was a week after I bent my alloy and wrote off a week old bridgestone tyre on a pot hole! Still shouldn't complain as I still just about have my health and I'm not in a war zone (My colleagues are mostly Ukrainian).
