As far as I'm aware, no - the fee you are charged depends on what you set the starting bid as, the cheaper the starting bid, the cheaper your insertion fee, etc. You're also charge if you put a reserve price on your item. This must be a minimum of £50 and I believe the charge also varies depending on how high your item reserve is. Insertion fee's also vary in different categories... for example clothing would be about 20p with a low start bid - but I think there's a minimum charge of £6 in automotive when selling a car - as they're expected to go for a higher price. Add all the extra options you have in..and it completely varies everytime!

Yup, you get charged a %age

    5% upto 30, 4% upto then 3% upto infiniy (And beyond !!!)

So if you sold something for 300, it would be...

    5% of 30, 4% of 70 and 3% of 200.....about a tenner?

Yeah they pretty much charge u for everything - fair enough though if you ask me, they have to keep it running etc...and it's only a small amount.
I have sold loads of stuff on ebay I thought was useless, and I'm always surprised when I always get more than I thought I would for stuff I would have otherwise given away/sold cheaper/binned.

Same, its good for making money on worthless things, but they do charge thru the roof sometimes, and if you dont make as much for something as you think you would....then have to pay a fiver to sell it and a fiver to recieve the money, can be a kick in the teeth sometimes

Which is why we all have Hexus For Sale/Trade! Might as well try and sell it there first to save a bit of money (20p lol).
