The data is held on your system until you finish as task and upload the results to the UD server, you then download another unit to process.Quote:

UD apparently have a LOT of redundancy (one more reason I'm not keen:rolleyes: ) but there's really no point participating with a computer that's not stable. Sadly it wasn;t until I discovered Prime95 that I realised my old Duron was running about 20MHz past it's capabilities, I hope I didn't return too many duff results:(.
Not particularly directed at you midzt, just a general heads up for people:).
joined up - already had ud running occasionally - just activated on the server machine which does nothing else - will stick it on gf's machine as she dont use the cpu power and will stick it on my machine when i aint playing games :D
maybe stick it on a couple of me laptops too
sorry all five of my pc's are doing folding@hone for Teamjsi (i'm the team leader :) )
My system isn't overclocked at all and is stable so hopefully my results should be ok, I was just wondering if I oculd restart my systme. :)Quote:

Folding and UD aren't the same thing. Hexus doesn't have a Folding team AFAIK.
I promise i will fold once my dissertation is done, my pooter rebuilt and it has nothing to do. (free electricity - only problem is that i can't sleep with it on)
Oh, well i wasn't sure what UD was but i thought it was basicly folding but a different name or something. anyways.Quote:
