    The data is held on your system until you finish as task and upload the results to the UD server, you then download another unit to process.

    Yeah, the data is saved periodically so you can usually pick up pretty close to where you left off. HOWEVER if your restart was due to system instability (e.g. too high an overclock) then beware, because if your processor and RAM are not 100% stable you could be returning dodgy results. UD apparently have a LOT of redundancy (one more reason I'm not keen ) but there's really no point participating with a computer that's not stable. Sadly it wasn;t until I discovered Prime95 that I realised my old Duron was running about 20MHz past it's capabilities, I hope I didn't return too many duff results.

    Not particularly directed at you midzt, just a general heads up for people.

    joined up - already had ud running occasionally - just activated on the server machine which does nothing else - will stick it on gf's machine as she dont use the cpu power and will stick it on my machine when i aint playing games

    maybe stick it on a couple of me laptops too

    My system isn't overclocked at all and is stable so hopefully my results should be ok, I was just wondering if I oculd restart my systme.

    Folding and UD aren't the same thing. Hexus doesn't have a Folding team AFAIK.

    Oh, well i wasn't sure what UD was but i thought it was basicly folding but a different name or something. anyways.

    Yes Sir! processing away like a goodun.. 639 units returned for 175 days and 5 hours of processing time to date.. and churning through a lot faster with this re-vamped pooter too (110813 points atm )
