    An experience to remember

About an hour ago i had a panic attack, a full on one. I had to call the paramedics out 'cause no-one was here. Couldn't breath, couldn't see anything and my hands and jaw completely locked up. Never been so scared in my life!

Anyone know what can bring this on?

Drugs have been known to do it, both recreational and medicinal. Also stress, my wife was of work for quiet a while with stress, she had a lot of panic attacks at the time. Luckilly she changed jobs and is better now, but she hada couple of months off.

Hehe, i don't take drugs The guy said it was due to stress but i haven't really been stressed about anything. Then he said it could be sub-concious stuff. I have just moved to England (well 5 and a half months ago) by myself for uni, with all my course and that, being away from friends and family as well as starting a new life in another country alone. Perhaps that's the cause? I've been pretty happy with everything so far though. Was pretty bad though. My flat mate wanted to know if i was ok and she texted me "well if you couldn't move your hands, how did you call the paramedics?" now that is something which causes stress. Skepticism from a good friend!

sorry chaps , but I'm going to have to close this. If you need medical advice then the best place for it is a doctor, or failing that , http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/

I know everything here is well meaning, but it's something that could get people in trouble.

EDIT: Kezzer you did the right thing - try and see a doc though - it could be an indication of something more serious.

EDIT #2: mort has very heplfully given the number for NHS direct - 0845 46 47

Kezzer, I recommend you watch a few episodes of Dads Army, Corporal Jones has some excellent advice for you.
