    Phil Tufnell

Anyone seen his advert ? He's joined the minor celeb get-rich-quick list by
advertising loan shark companies to 'help' people in financial difficulties

This involves him perched on the end of a desk listening with great interest to how they shafted their lastest victim.

I find these consolidation loan companies irritating enough, (Vorderman has
a nice little earner going - like she needs the money ) but
this berk nearly makes me put my foot through the telly.

Add Carole Vordeman to the list too... surely with her incredible mathematical abilities as practised every day on countdown she can figure out taht these loans companies interest, compounded over the term of the loan mean you end up paying roughly one and a half times what you borrow in the first place....

Hey Carole, try todays Countdown Conundrum

You do realise that Vorderman got a 3rd, don't you? As for Tufnell, well, on the one hand I agree with Auran, but I have to say that the ad he's in has gone way past the "merely naff and slightly annoying" on the internationally recognised Cillit-Scott scale to the point where it's behaviour likely to occasion a breach of the peace...

    I'll stone him.

And as for Vorderbitch - I'd happily run the moneygrabbing little behatch over, I find her adverts for these companies who do nothing more than take full advantage of people in financial difficulty and charge them ridiculous amounts of interest utterly distasteful. She was one of the highest earners on TV, so why she feels the need to stoop to this level pretty much sums her up.

Amen to that.... I wish that blobby floating thing would turn around and eat her and then proceed to attack the cameraman much like the blob out of the hollywood films circa 1960's

yeah... did you see him on QoS the other day - he looked baked then and kept wittering on

As for ANNOYING adverts. The Sunlife over 60 plan adverts with that gimp that used to be in all creatures great and small needs shooting. Poor old folks are scared senseless and worrying as he's playing the guilt trip on them because if they die their funeral costs will be passed to their kids.

SO WHAT! they'll be dead - like they'll give a monkeys in all reality and they try and sweeten the deal with a free pen, alarm clock or 30 quids of M&S vouchers... oooooooooooh... Hang on ... why do OLD PEOPLE need an alarm clock anyway as most of them are up before sunrise queuing outside post offices and whinging about the state of affairs of today

Edit: anyway, I reckon someone should start a webpage listing all the most irritating ads so that we can boycott the products/companies until they're taken off the air. My initial candidates are:

AA car finance. "Kev! Bev!" Face. Die in the.
All adverts for blade servers on primetime TV (IBM, HP etc.) FFS you knobs, do you think that enterprise IT buyers are influenced in their decisions by simplistic TV adverts?
Herbal Essences. Sub-Carry On humour ahoy! Crass innuendo is so funny.
Michelob Ultra- a beer for sporty people? Exercise is good for you, beer is bad for you. No amount of beatiful young americans and crisp photography is going to alter that fact, now stop wasting my time.

I wouldn't expect the Michelob ad to last too long...

They show 30 seconds of sporty, toned and tanned models without an ounce of fat on them and then say "If this is your life, this is the beer for you"...

How much of an impression is that sposed to make to an overweight tubby git like me?

It might motivate to go to the gym perhaps, but it aint going to make me buy their beer in the belief that others will see me as sporty, fit and beautiful cos I drink it... Its sooo bleedin shallow I don't think that anyone would fall for it...

please add carol smiley to the list of sell out celebs.

the one that annoys me most of all is Ester Randsom. She's done an awful lot on thats life to expose bad companies and scams, and help chilrden with childline, then she sells out to a dodgy loan company, the adverts not that annoying but its the principal of someone who has made a career of doing "good" and being trust worthy.

The lombard direct blue talking phone....sort that out too !

    The final one is "compu-teach"

"Jim was a dole scrounger, now he's a software designer, working from home earning 50k"....where, IT is in recision.

    I'm calling compu-teach straight away
    It is Inevitable.....
