Unbelievably good application, they've managed to let you drag the map about and the travel directions are excellent as well. All this without resorting to Flash. Shame it's only the US for now. Multimap and the rest better watch out as this just blows them out the water

Not decided on GPS reciever yet, I think I'd prefer a wired or bluetooth one, not the card slot types.

I used that when I was checking how far a party next weekend was gonna be from my home, not that I was driving or anything like, just to see where and why the train would be 44 quid and 4 hours for the journey

I use TT2 on my PDA for nav, but also use memory map navigator 2004 on my PC and PDA. Have 1:50,000 coverage of all uk, 1:25,000 of national parks and aerial photos of south east. Will get my posterior in gear tonight and do a photo of it, I use the Arkon powered mount its ace.

Its navtech data, generally implemented in Java but Az is right this is impressive implementation.

There is several UK versions that are pretty good like this but are hidden behind account logins etc.

yes, i noticed rather ironically, how if you go too far to left or right of the map you get nothing at all...perhaps this is the reason many americans have no concept of 'the rest of the world'...?
