No you dont need a visa as such, when you are on the plane about an hour from the USA you will be asked to fill in this green form by the airline staff if you are a non USA citizen. Then when you go through customs you hand in the green form with you're passport and you are sorted.

Did you not do any sort of research before booking this or what? All the questions you've asked regarding this trip over the past few days have been things you should have researched and known abaout well before now!

Yes you will need a visa. You'll need one of these:
    http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/visa_b2.html

which i found by googling "USA visa"

I went over in December of 9/11 year for 3 months just visiting and what I mentioned is all I had to do.

What you could do is contact the American Embassy in London and have a chat with them in the morning.

Not yet, but you have to make sure you check out the country with the barcode.

I presume you are going on HOLIDAY not as a Journo or something - I have a VISA for the USA and it doesn't mean anything bar being robbed $100 and they can track me

You just need to fill out the green waiver form on the plane - do it before you sleep then it is done.

Also make sure it is filled out right - I go to the states 7 times a year and it pisses me off when people don't have it done properly.

yup, green card on the plane. after 9/11 the US went paranoid over everyone entering their country, they've relaxed a little to the uk and all we need to do is fill out the little card.
if you've been to cuba (have a cuban visa in your passport), you might find it 'interesting' to get in...they're odd like that

They will be making VISAs needed, but it is not the case yet.

When you leave the USA make sure you check out - don't loose the little barcode thing they give you.

Wonder if they give you reward points too and a petrol voucher... i'm sure the airline would appreciate it.
