Question ebay : what should I do about this??

    hi there

i just got in, and checked my emails, and there were 4 in the ebay folder.. these were, outbid notice, bid retraction notice, a item won notice and an invoice. so i open the item won notice and i see that i won the item for the exact amount of my highest bid. strange i think, someone with low feedback (3) bid and retracted on my auction, as if to find what my highest bid was. So i search thru the sellers history, and this other person has bid, but not won, on nearly every single auction this guy has had. so to me it is obvious that this second id is also this guy, and he's simply using it to force bidders to pay thier max amount. what do you think i should do about this? i've not been forced up a large amount (maybe a fiver on something costing £40), and i *do* want the item, but this guy is obviously ripping people off, and would have done the same to me...

    thanks for any advice..

I'd wait til you get your GBA then probably end up forgetting about it.
These things happen, and if you report it nothing will really happen to them besides perhaps a temporary suspension.
Barely worth the effort - ebay is such a horrible company, and by having higher end prices they get more fees... so they will be EVEN LESS helpful than they normally are!

you should report it after you get the item (if it is for a price you're willing to pay). It's obvious he is abusing the system, and you dont really have much to lose by doing so. Also make sure he gives you some good feedback before you leave the feedback for him.

Tell him you're going to report him and see if you can agree on a lower price When he agrees, send the incriminating e-mails to eBay and get the sucker banned!

    I love getting a**holes banned
