Question Where can I pick up a Psion?

I'm eager to get my hands on a Psion, mainly for quick note-taking, as my PDA really isn't suitable. Any ideas where I could buy a cheapish Psion?....Why oh why are they no longer manufactured..

Yeah, eBay. They go for quite a lot though because of the numerous Linux distros available for some of the models

Yeah, eBay is about the only place you'll find one these days.

I loved my Series 5. The fold-out design was a work of beauty and the battery would last for months. I miss it.

ah the good old Psion, I had a 3c and series 5. I loved them, much better than any current PDA I reckon, I swear they went bust though?

Psion didn't go bust, they just span off their OS/software division into Symbian and ditched making PDAs in favour of making industrial devices.

Random Psion fact: Psion Software wrote the Sinclair ZX classic "Horace Goes Skiing".

I liked Psions better than Palms.
Stick a Psion in the drawer for a year, and when you dig it out the batteries are still good, and the data intact.

pfft Palm devices are seriously un-cool, fugly, horrible to use, and very underpowered

Better off gettin a 2nd hand PPC + folding KB, can probly get a reasonable one for £50 nowadays if you hunt on ebay

I was thinking about getting a folding keyboard, but I can't find one that will work with my old PDA - an HP Jornada 520. Any ideas on that either? That would actually be preferable.

    Thanks

I loved my series 5mx, eventually sold it on ebay after I graduated for way more than I paid for it.

Dad still has his although he hardly uses it any more
