Looks like Labour is winning, but its ITV's own poll so it could be wrong.

Yeah, I should imagine the FINAl thing will be around 5-6am? Just a guess.
BBC all the way. BBC1's on all night now. Who watches news on ITV, havent they got some Reality Tv to talk about?
Heh. I've got BBC1 on at the moment. May as well watch that till the early hours.
Post your spam here peeps ;)
Exit polls are not good news for the Lib Dems :(
Sorry only 2 decent channels on terrestrial are BBC 2 and Ch4.
ITV and CH5 are a load of pap, at least your money is been spent wisely on a decent program that makes sense!
I am currently watching BBC1 but not for long, im off to bed lol! I seldom watch ITV no more > im in the same boat as Yohji
Ian
Labour is winning :D
 saw 2 seconds of itv's coverage and it was from inside one of the london eye cabins with some irrelevant guests?!? laughed then went back to watching dead ringers , arguably the best bit of tv you will see tonight :D
"Labour hold Sunderland South"
1-0 it is then....
Big swing to the tories...
So it's 1/324 for Labour then?
Anyone see dead ringers? Roffles all round!
Yeah! It was great!Quote:

Looks like labour are gonna win by a reduced majority of 66 seats which they wont be to happy with, lib dems have done really well closing in on the tories.
actually if you go to the BBC news website they have got a cool score card that updates as the results come in, have got it running on my second monitor.
3-0-0 :d:d:d:d:d
Labour are going to win, but it looks like this is going to be no landslide.
Labour to win by 60 odd.
*crys* NO not labour!
pah you knew it was gonna happen whatever, been hearing on the TV programs that Blair might stepdown soon anyway and given the man that does the maths a chance (Brown) , ah well its all spin anyway as they say.Quote:

Still, - go conservative! :D
I would vote for Conservative, but sadly i'm not a right wing facist who has no real support for students, except for making them worse off.
Go Lib Dems!!
Labour - 26
Lib Dems - 2
Tories - 1
Labour: 43
Conservatives: 2
Liberal Democrat: 2
Scottish National Party: 1
54:3:3
God I would love it if the lib dems because the tories
Currently
Lab - 354 (-47)
Con - 194 (+33)
Lib - 59 (+11)
With 617/649 seats declared. 324 Needed to win.
Ergo Lab victory.

We all knew it was gonna happen, at least the party I voted for won :)
what's significant about the results is ~6% drop in labour votes, and 5% increase in lilb dem
the lib dems have about 2/3 of the conservatives' share of the popular vote - but only 1/3 of their number of seats. which means either lib dem constituancies are 100% lib dem, or that the lib dems are close & could steal a HUGE number of constituancies next election
either way, the lib dems should be very pleased, 5% increase in the popular vote and 20% more seats, nothing to be sniffed at
The interesting thing to me is that the Tory share of the vote is pretty much unchanged.
I think the only party that can be happy with the result is the Libdems tbh...
and that's a bad thing? :cool:Quote:

:stop: I would rather NOT wake up with Michael Howard thank you very much.. Yuk what a horrible thought.Quote:

urgh! oh god, not another power tripping 5 years from the labour gov. we'll sink into a well of PC gone mad now. that and huge taxes, crap hospitals that will be closed in a week anyway to reloacte 50miles away to some 'super hospital' (read: hive of breeding bacteria and mass infection. tip; if you're ill DON'T go to a hospital!).
more tax, income tax, council tax (more moronic self-apraising council workers too)
Although I'm pleased that the Lib Dems increased their number of seats, I'm a bit nonplussed that their gains came from Labour rather than the Tories. I genuinely think that they're taking votes from the left now, which is a bit of a sad state of affairs IMO.
I'm also pleased to see that Sandra Gidley just scraped through in my old constituency of Romsey; I had a good night at the by-election count in 2000 when I turned up to spectate:).
labour... left?Quote:

oof! Was a close call here in Selby - they even had a recount cos' it looked like the conservatives were going to take the seat back after 8 years. Under 500 votes in it but our labour MP made it through, thank GOD.
Hopefully by next election I'll be living somewhere safe enough to vote libdem :)
A lot of the old farming counties are Tory strongholds, lots of land with seats, but only a small number of voters, hence why the map still looks pretty blue..
Michael Howard has just made his first official speech after the election result and said that he would make room for a new Tory leader "sooner rather than later" as he is getting too old!
And our constituency still has its requisite Tory, Nigel Evans. He's a nice enough chap, and a pretty good constituency MP I suppose, so it could be worse, but ye gods it's frustrating, especially when you look at the constituency map. Apparently I don't live in Preston at all, I apparently live MUCH closer to Clitheroe...one can only assume that the guy putting the lines on the map was utterly bladdered when he did it.
Needs to up his blood intake, that's all... :devilish:Quote:
