    Thank you.....

Just thought I would do a post to you, the readers. As you know, HEXUS was started by myself many years ago - and often I reflect on what HEXUS is, and to be honest - it makes me proud. Not only on what we deliver, but how we do it and how we work.

I have made a shift within the company and now deal with mostly advertising and overall management something which had to be done, often I am asked what is the most important thing to HEXUS, and without doubt it is you, the readers.

In the past year we have seen huge changes at HEXUS, with Paul joining the board, and other strategic moves. With the launch of the gaming channel headed up by HEXUS.hotpot famous chef - Nick Haywood, as well as other key areas which you will all see opening soon.

HEXUS is a team - a dream team of people who we want to work with, please all remember that the moderators work for the love of HEXUS nothing more.

I thought I would do a quick post to thank all of you - the community for being here for us. You guys are the reason we keep doing what we do. We aim to deliver the best editorial on the planet - and I can assure you that we struggle to find people who beat us.

I hope all of you understand that I love feedback, and my email box is always open for feedback - trust me we enjoy getting the good and bad comments.

So this post is to thank all of the team, and the moderators for making my dreams with HEXUS a reality. I would like to also thank Paul, Rys, Tarinder all for the focus and help over the years.

Thanks guys Lets enjoy the next 10 years!

(and on a side note I hope Glos thrash Saracens in the Rugby on Saturday.!)

Been wondering this for a while but Hexus is registered as a business yet I fail to see how it makes any money,

    1. adverts are relatively sparse on the site - surely not a big income source
    2. surely hexus doesn't get paid by manufacturers for reviews - that would defeat independence

so how does Hexus actually make money?

Does David have a full time job besides Hexus?
Because I really fail to see how Hexus can generate enough cash to afford 'main' salaries to the whole staff?

If the staff do have other jobs besides Hexus - thanks for devoting your time to maintaining a great site. I don't use the main site loads but I have found this place a great source to relax and escape particularly after a very difficult 9 months - great community.

As a "mere" forum admin , I'm always impressed with the level of content the main site provides - lets keep going onward and upward !!

I'm very proud to be part of the hexus team

I dont think David will answer all of that , suffice to say that the Hexus does NOT get paid to review kit.

I'm a volunteer and have a "real" job , but I know running the main site and the marketing & PR side of things is very much a full time job

HEXUS is a registered buisness within the UK, and we operate as an e-buisness, with 6 fulltime staff. Our revenue is based on advertising model. We do not accept any sort of payment for reviews, far from it.

We have agreements with companies for event sponsorship - for example XFX and Corsair sponsored CeBIT 2005 for HEXUS.

Been on these forums for what seems like forever (cue the slightly misty lense, Jangly music and the "In my day it was all fields" quote ) And it has quite literally changed my life, If it wasn't for hexus I'd be buying pc's from pc world and not making them myself, I wouldn't know some of the top blokes I do now, I'd never have had my life taken ovewr by a flight sim to the extent where I once flew 14 VEF missions in a day, plus over the years I've been given so much helpful advice here thats helped me through a few difficult times.

I owe a huge debt to this place and many of the members on it, Without you guys my life would be severely different.

I have been here for a good few years now as a mod and have to say I love being on these boards, love the community, always has a great feel about the community.

I started out here as Grendel but when the boards got restarted took on the name of Ferral. Here I am now standing with the best guys I have ever known as part of the mod team. I work a good few hours a week but always find time to bring forum reviews on the games I have bought and am playing, not forgetting being part of the HEXUS Guild Wars guild now.

I look forward to the coming years and what HEXUS brings us all and hope I keep everyone entertained with my board reviews and contributions to the community.

Thanks David and not forgetting thanks to the community

I'm part of the dream team. Which part I'm not sure. I see myself as the spleen.

What do you lot think? (Man, if that isn't leaving yourself open to a right going over, I don't know what is... 0ID, anything you have to say will be a cheap shot, so its not worth the bother mate)
