Thats REALLY BAD news indeed. Just what we did not want. Some "paper" millionaire gaining control of Manchester United.
Theres a dark cloud hanging over Manchester even though its clear sunny day here.
I wouldn't be suprised at all if theres a protest at one of the last matches
I would have thought the whole of surrey would be wearing black armbands
dont real Mancs support city ?

*wants him to turn united's ground in to a golfclub or something
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Knowing that he's trailer trash pure and simple I wouldn't joke if it was turned into a Caravan park in the summer for American Tourists. He just wants to exploit the brand name " Manchester United " to the American public, make as much cash as he can and probably push the club towards financial ruin within 5 years.Originally Posted by Barry
There's too much money in football, it's depressing. $1.47bn?? That's insane. Think how much that sort of money could help out people in 3rd world countries! It would even go very far for people in our countries!
Football players get paid far too much as it is, they should all be paid less than about 10% of what they get paid as it is, then the fans won't have to pay stupid prices to go and watch them play.
Money... it rules everything now. So many people don't want this to happen, yet he has the financial backing to do so.
It would only take a few wealthy fans to put the dampers on it.... so perhaps they have chance to sort this out even now?
Yeap - this is the case now seeing as JP Mcmananus has sold his shares @ 300p a share to Glaizer.Originally Posted by Allen
Big respect to the shareholders united chairman for ripping up his season ticket though.
This is a myth most people from manchester actually support Man U (FACT). This Takeover is bad which ever way you look at it, instatley put united in debt, that doesnt sound very health to me, the term if its not broke dont fix it springs to mind. im not going to try and predict the future but i dont see anything good coming out of this, however maybe we will be proved wrong, i really hope nothing bad happens to the club i have loved for as long as i can remember, what ever happens i will follow the club through it and hope that things turn out for the best, but all we can do is hope. There may be more of them that support Utd in Manchester, but they're all from the wrong side of the tracks.
Real Mancs support the only real football team "City", and not some naff franchise
If it ain't broke, fetch a bigger hammer
At least it means double size portions on all of the match day food outlets

I dunno I find it quite amusing that a lot of people actually belive that the majority of people in Manchester dont support Man Utd.
I live in Manchester and have supported United since I was around 4 years old (nearly 22 years) and therefore I have been through all the bad times we had in the early 80's with Ron Atkinson as manager and can remember that when Fergie became manager the majority of fans was asking for him to be sacked after a few games.
I aint disputing that United do have a large fan base but thats to be expected as they are the team with the most supporters in the world but I can guarentee you that the majority of Manchester people (like myself) will support the red half of the city
I think today could be the demise of the Old Trafford empire and I wouldnt trust Glazer as far as I could throw him after all he is a business man therefore he wont have the good of the club to mind when he makes the decisions.
