Wish I could help mate, Im sure there is a proper program that does it !

Doing a line out to something like a Minidisk player will work fine, then you can record it to disk, but Im not sure how you'd just get the data

Your from Solihull too ? Small world

Edit : Is this any good ? http://www.wmrecorder.com/

    Or this ? http://www.opcode.co.uk/opd2d/default.asp

Not sure which ones the best TBH, the first one is a trial, so might not be all that good, Ive had a little play with the second one, Im not too sure how it works, I think you just let it stream and press record, and it does it ! As long as you set it for how long you want to record and where.

Nearish Olton myself, you and Vaul are probably all within 3 miles of each other, not that thats a good thing where Stew is involved

Yup DI is pure quality listening on times. If you have a modern creative sound card you could use their audio recorder, only thing is it records in WAV, still its useful. Thats what i use any way.

Ok, done some research for you, you need to get http://www.stationripper.com/. The thing is that it only uses shoutcast audio streams, so you need to find out the shoutcast address of the channel you want to listen to.

Best way to do this? well if you're as stupid as me (quite hard) open up the radio station viewer on winamp 5, find the andio channel you want, queue it up. Right click on it in the queue and press "view file info", a new window will open with the stream address at the top.

All you have to do then is copy that address into the small address bar at the bottom of the program and press enter and it'll start to record, automatically splitting up the songs. Make sure you change the recording folder first.

I too have only just started looking at this.

with all the concerts being broadcast on internet radio/digitial radio, I'd love a way to record them to a usabe format for storing and re-listening.

silent ben's suggestion seems to work but the lack of shoutcaste addresses seems to be a problem
    It is Inevitable.....

This programme is great, it's exactly what I wanted. Only problem is that it doesn't seem to be saving the files, it's made the folder but nothing inside?

EDIT- NVM, me being an idiot again, thanks so much for that, it's great

Well theres a program called "audio record wizard" which can record from alomost any source (Winamp, quicktime, "what you hear", etc) but it only has a 3 minute max record time on the demo. Worth the money though.

To record what you hear (Regardless of whether it's ShoutCast or not), see http://forums.hexus.net/showpost.php...68&postcount=3

Of course, if your recording program records to WAVs, you can just convert it to MP3 using lameenc, bladeenc, etc. I personally use bladeenc.
